Winter Expansion: EVE Dominion
Rumor Mill Central proudly presents: Winter Expansion News.
Assorted
Some of this was already mentioned in my Apocrypha 1.5 post, but they apparently are scheduled for the winter expansion, not apocrypha 1.5:
Abandon all Wrecks, ye who enter here!
Apparently, you will be able to "abandon wrecks" - most likely to allow others to loot and salvage from them without flagging them.
Fleet Finder
Also, they seem to have implement an idea I posted a long while ago. Apparently, you can now "publish" your fleet if you set it for self-invite. You can publish it for your corp, your alliance, and your militia. And others can look for it in the "fleet finder" and join it.
The fleet finder will tell you who the leader of a fleet is and where he is located - I don't really like that.
Activities you can choose:
PVP - Conventional Fleet
PVP - Capital Fleet
PVP - Special Operations
PVE - Mining
PVE - Mission Running
PVE - Logistics
PVE - Ratting
PVE - Exploration
PVE - Wormholes
Minigame?
Apparently, they're working on integrating the minigame seen in the WiS videos. Including a betting option. It's called "Slay".
Store Fronts
Those seem to get some love, too. That is, you can create a "store front" in which you can put "offer" contracts - basically item exchange contracts that don't actually contain items, you just "offer" them; someone can then "accept" an offer to actually receive stuff (this apparently creates a WTB contract).
Arenas
Beautiful duelist arenas with epeening possibilities in total matches, wins, losses, and "average dps" - woot.
Assorted assorted
You will be able to look into non-password-protected cans remotely, apply to corps remotely.
You will not be able to put bookmarks into POS modules anymore, and trial accounts can't run L3 or L4 missions anymore.
Sov Changes
The big thing for the winter expansion. I can only stress that the following are personal interpretations of vague rumors ...
Ok. First: Scratch POSes (for sov, not for industry), sov levels, constellation capitals, etc. All gone. *poof* Ok? Good.
Now, add two new structure types: "Claim Markers" and "Disruptors". *fiat module* Ok? Good.
So. You anchor and online a "claim marker" in a system. Your alliance gets a bill. If the alliance pays the bill before the claim marker goes online, you gain sov. Simple. No, I don't have any clue how much the bill would be or how long the onlining takes or whether there are delays like the current "one week until sov." You get to pay a monthly fee, too.
Now, you have this evil group that has sov somewhere, which is bad, because you want the sov. So you go into a system they have sov in, and anchor a "disruptor" within 20km of each of the star gates in it. The sov-holding alliance gets a mail about this. When a disruptor is anchored and online on each of the star gates, the system becomes "vulnerable to claim jumpers" - I guess the attacker can online their own claim marker, and gain sov. Also, I guess the claim marker is invulnerable while it's online?
From dev talk months ago, I would assume you can only anchor disruptors on the "border systems", not in the "core systems", but that's not even a rumor, more of an educated guess.
No, I have no idea where and how you can anchor cyno jammers now.
