Read the patch notes people. There are a lot of major changes to POS defences, the introduction of anti-blob bombs, LP corp pools, Capital ECM Burst modules, Dreadnaught siege mode mechanics, addition of sort range Exploration scanners to ALL ships, the conversion of many DED complexes to Exploration sites etc.

There is about 9 pages worth of stuff.

I kid you not. This is serious stuff, that may affect all of us.

I'm looking forward to heat.
Gonna take a few more reads to absorb it all properly. As you say, big changes. Looking forward to it though.

The first couple of post list the original patch notes, there's been few changes/additions since then.

Noteworthy stuff includes:

- You can "view market details" with a right-click on an order. Best change of them all! (I'm serious)

- Loyalty Point Store. Great thing. You can finally work towards whatever it is you want. And the amount of stuff offered is huge.

- Heat. Skill required is Thermodynamics, prereqs are Engineering V, Energy Management V.

- Built-in scanner. Works like a single, bad 5 AU exploration probe. Didn't manage to find anything yet :-(

- Corp wallet divisions. Many people wanted it. Now you have six of them in addition to the master wallet. Now that you have it, what are you going to do with it? (That's a Call for Brainstorming)

- Data export (on Thursday, not Tuesday). Especially wallet export. I'm writing a Python API for this, to dump some nice graphics and statistics. Difficult without the possibility of testing, though :-)

- Group missions. I don't mean the lvl5s that are supposed to be doable by groups, but the ability to say "me and my gang finished the mission", thereby distributing the reward, LP and standing among all gang members. Yay!

- Location for settings etc. changed. If I get it right, you can finally delete your cache without having to watch out for profile.ini and settings/

- The whole sovereignty/fleet combat/POS stuff won't affect us much, except that now, weapons will be outside of the force field, thus open to attack (possible to disable, but not destroy). Remote hull reppers will be needed to get them working again. There are even remote tech2 hull reppers.

- They nerfed hull tanking. :-(
