Reduced area of control because of longer travel times might be an interesting change, although there is a danger of giving the defenders too much of an advantage if they just hold up in a small area with all their caps and the attackers have to spend ages moving into position to get them... but the general idea of making capitals a more strategic asset rather than the core of the blob would be a nice move... wonder if they'll have a play with jump ranges on SiSi?

The two gems from that thread imo were the dev ponderings on "wormhole towers" and the ps at the bottom of post 110... destructible gates to link w-space systems together... perhaps that's where the sleeper mystery will lead Big Grin

http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp...page=4#118 and #119 ... this is interesting, about warps:

Yup, this is something that irks us greatly, but the code handling this is buried fairly deeply in Destiny (the physics simulation) and we haven't had time to dig in and figure out how to tune acceleration rates (or better yet, make them a stat rather than a constant). There's also the issue that there's some fairly complex code in there, and the people best qualified to fiddle with it are currently busy with the whole "lag" thing.
