Not happening... someone misunderstood Hilmar's comments regarding the possiblity of merging the servers soon™ to tie in with their one server vision of eve (completely disregarding the practical, legal and technical aspects of said vision).

Given the current "dev - player communication gap" discussions from the devs I actually found this one very funny.
See it's not just the players that think the devs can't communicate properly...

Good, I don't have time to learn chinese. ^^

CCP will not merge servers....chinese gaming laws necessitated the use of a separate server these laws have not changed, so....yeh I lean towards the massively article
Well, even IF they are going to merge, I don't think the impact would be any big.
I am hanging arround on some Chinese channels in game and I can say this: First the CGDC community is relatively small. And the professionalism reached there is far below the Transquility level. Second, in the past two years there is already a movement from CGDC to Transquility. There are a few Chinese corps moving arround and last year there was also a quite short lived Chinese alliance. Chinese players are playing in quite a lot of alliances, including EM.
In total I don't think a merge would get more impact as if there is SOLAR and RED or there is none of them.
