Always know why they've been successful - and its all to do with how they play the game...

This bollocks over Gms/Devs is just that - bollocks. I would quite frankly be amazed if anything comes from this - the reason the rest of the 0.0 community is upset, is they see this as an opportunity to strike back at the war machine that is BoB, without having to actually face them (which I have on both this toon and my previous one).
They are grasping at straws.
When I was in Fountain Alliance - our corp owned 30 T2 BPO's alone. Why? Because we had straight away through the leadership at the time embraced the concept, didn't go for what we saw as the "over-subsrcibed" ones, and consequently built up a stock.
For BoB even easier than that one corp did.
This is nothing but sour grapes from a load of pvp 0.0 alliances/corps who want to knock BoB for their success at what they do.
Now then.
Before anyone screams "BoB fanbois" at me, i've fought them and killed their pilots, albeit in small engagements, enough to piss them off that they've sent 14 man fleets against our 3 to exact revenge (don't worry most of this is before Mordens time - but not all)
People are jealous of their success imo - but that comes from their total devotion to their cause which PIE pales into comparison, frankly.
It is one of the reasons I don't bother with 0.0 anymore - theres enough fun in low sec (and imo more dangerous) than bother with 0.0

The secret to BoB's success is that they actually know how to play this game, and don't dick around while doing it. Two of BoB's dev alt characters were in Ushra'khan, and they didn't get any outwardly major benefit when they were there.
What the fuck is wrong about developers who toiled for this game to play and enjoy the fruit of their labour? That's utter bullshit. It's nothing but an attempt by the rest of 0.0 alliances to cry because their arses keep on getting collectively kicked.
Despite what people may say, that oh, BoB is full of fgts who hack and node crash and what not, they're all idiots. I live with them, and they're damn capable people who can be relied on when they make an agreement.
They return due respect when you give it to them, and if there's anything above all that they respect, it's combat ability, and reliability. They're selective with their pets whom they choose to populate their space. If a certain corp loses too many ships, they get kicked out. It's not because they're bullying nubs. They have a rep to keep, and that rep is that if you come to fuck around in BoB's space you get kicked the shit out of the place.
P.S. It's funny to abuse BoB's Wyvern to bring in the heavy guns with a RKK director being a cyno bitch in a Mammoth and even funnier to hear on vent/TS.

Well if i was the one that had posed that a couple of days ago, i think id be the one feeling like an idiot. Safe to say that from the horse's mouth itself it was confirmes that "some" or the atrocities calimed to have been commited by the Devs were actually true as i suspected.
Whilst I do not doubt that BoBs success is more down to they way they play and tactics, the issue of Devs in game presents a situation where this kind of situation (whether its true or false) can occur, and the image of the game and CCP becomes tarnished.
Havn't got a problem Archi - no BoB persons were found to have cheated - hence the witch hunt against them was ********. Yet again another "Dev" oversteps the line (albeit dug out by someone payed to hack peoples websites etc) - I'm more worried that for the first time CCP havn't enforced their "you screw up line - you're fired" approach - that worries me.
Someone worked out BoB benefited by around 20 billion from him handing the bpos over as part of him joining (at his behest) - chump change for BoB and any other major alliance.
What is nice - now that BoB have banned there main bitch queens from the CAOD forums is how refreshing so many other capsuleers are willing to take on the role...
I re-iterate what I said - No BoB cheated, the whole witch hunt against them was wrong - questioning the devs conduct is a different matter.
Devs have always played as Helmar posted in his blog - how do you truly develop a one shard game without doing so in realisitc conditions? (i.e. play) This has been coming to a head for years since Oveurs toon got "outed" and he was forced to stop using it and start another. Personally, I think they should play - but CCP have finally woken upto the fact that there has to be some controls and checks in place - perviously they relied on good will it seems with minimal scrutiny - a policy doomed to failure in the competative nature of a MMO.

And if you follow this and the subsquent threads there it's rather disturbing. Of course this is the hacker's site and you can doubt everything he posted there. But if that is all bullshit then this guy has some awesome imagination.
Though I agree it's a pity that the whole alliance got badmouthed because of the actions of a few - if these allegations are true.

Hmm lets way this up - take the word of a known hacker who's screwed countless people over - hacked boards, revelaed peoples rlf addresses and other details to the www - over an in game ruthless alliance.
Goonswarm were the first to feel kugustmens skills - as goons have pointed out - hes tried to extort rlf and ingame isk from anyone who would pay him - and people believe what he has to say???
