That's clothing physics simulation that used World of Darkness models. I doubt EVE will see that kind of stuff, they'll likely go for a bit more futuristic feel. Either way, it'll likely be the same technology so whatever ends up being in the game will be on that level of pure, unadulterated awesome.

So... are we starting a dress like a girl club, then? Cause I'm totally in. Big Grin

That is a really solid guess since CCP has definitely stated that they're iterating on PI in the next expansion. I had been thinking it was all the Sansha stuff that's been going on.
I don't think we'll have planetary conflict until Dust is either released or about to be released. At least not of the "I'll burn down your building" variety. I imagine there's a good chance the second PI iteration brings us some way to interact with other people's planetary actions, though.
Probably goes here best: PAX 2010 EVE-Online news...

#1: Improvements to planetary features
#2: Incursions (uh... why is CCP's lead dev talking about motherships, instead of supercarriers...? *crystalballerize-time*)
#3: Improvements to EVE Gate
#4: Revamped character creation

(The mothership or supercarriers; CCP changed name to supercarriers to free the mothership-type - what current 'supercarrier' does didn't feel to CCP right to be 'mothership' thing to do according to one of the dev blogs... or something close to that 'quote' - so either we're about to see new hull type, or faction supercarrier...)
"If the mothership goes kablooey, then ISK and loyalty points will be had by all, in addition to the brand-new blueprints to said defeated mothership."

sounds like a new hull to me... think this is the actual mothership idea of its the root of the incursion and spawning all the others...

"The incursions will happen all over the galaxy and will be clearly marked on the map. At that point, teams of five to 40 can group up and take the fight to the stars."

I assume that means they're going to get some sort of cyno-style markers when they appear... warp gates to limit the numbers? wonder how they're going to enforce the 5 pilots minimum seeing as you can cancel a warp gate activation... could be a new "dungeon" access system?... or they just meant going in with less than 5 is suicide... =s

"One nice aspect of incursions is that if you can only participate in part of the fight, you'll still get rewarded once it's finished, even if you're not present."

Wonder how they're going to limit the exploitation on this... hopefully it wont just be "go in, kill something small, leave, wait for someone to put the effort into the incursion clearance, get equal share"... might be linked to the numbers to get into the sites?

EDIT: Can see why the CSM were a little worried about this one... we'll see how it turns out.
The 5 to 40 pilots; sounds more like "expect enemy force numbers be such that you need..."
Not exactly related, but anyhow... dev answers on current situation of 'MWDing in Deadspace' start from post #13:

The incursion system: If they don't handle it properly it's going to get macrofarmed into oblivion like the old 10/10 plexes. Curious to see what content it adds otherwise.

New avatar system: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss

Everything else: eh~
I want to get out of my pod damn it. None of these four elements make me woot at all. Incursions I will take part in I am sure but it doesn't light my circuits and it will cool to remake Vlad but I have done that once already.
