My first attempt. This is part of celestia's background posted as a small chronicle but is not to be considered common knowledge IC. If anyone wants
to know, ask her. Also, since I have not read through everything other people wrote yet, if anything similar has already been done, apologies in advance.
All comments welcome.
Read it. It raises the question why is the Holder doing this. Why not both of the children or the whole family, if he wants to really do good? Why does he force the Gallentean to choose? Also, if the Gallentean trades, why not simply use an Amarrian front to buy people from the markets; why to go into this play? It seems there's more here than meets the eye, which is intriguing. Makes you want to hear more of these people, which is a good in a sneak peak chronicle into someone's life. Smile

Nitpick at this point: "Amarrian", one m, to r's, not "Ammarian". (Common mistake, pet peeve.)

duly noted and corrected.
as to the logical questions arising, aye, there could be other ways.
As slave trading details are not crystal clear, (not to me at least) I took the liberty of speculating that Gallenteans are not very willing to actually enter the slave trade to liberate people, and also that amarrian slave traders would not be eager to deal with them as well.
its also assumed (by me) to be some sort of taboo in amarrian society to liberate ones slaves by any means, therefore it has to be done in secrecy so that the Holder is not compromised. Thus the fuss.
Those sound like sensible assumptions to me.
