New thread. I'll post here if I update stuff on the site somewhere. If you have issues, please post here as well - or send me a PM.
I just upgraded out killboard to EDK 3.0, which should solve some of our old gripes, and introduce new ones. In the coming week, I'll slowly migrate some of our own modules over, and possibly add new ones.
If you feel artsy, make us a cool EM banner for the killboard top, too.
yiiihaaww! by-week view!
ow... me denied.

MyBB has been upgraded to v1.6, which is a major software upgrade. A lot of under-the-hood stuff happened, but there are some nice new features for users, too.
1) Thread prefixes
The forum now allows to create "thread prefixes" which allow users to select some from a limited set of prefixes when creating/editing a thread. I have added [WTS], [WTB] and [DONE] to the Trade forum. If you want more there, let me know - adding them is trivial.
This will, when I get the time, also enable us to rework the diplomacy files.
2) Reputation
The reputation system went through a major overhaul, and now allows per-post reputation. I have enabled it again. It is currently anonymous (whoever you give reputation to will not see who gave the reputation), but if that leads to abuse, I will remove that; that will also show the submitters of old reputation notes. I'm undecided which one is a better choice here.
Could you give us a few pointers on what the reputation system is for ?
Is it a "nice post !" / "I don't agree with this post" system ?
Is it a "I like this guy" / "I don't like this guy" system ?
"This post is not flame" / "This post is flame" ?
Obviously the +1 button isn't a big problem, cos nobody'll complain about being positived to death. But what about the -1 button. When should we NOT use it ?
Just use it. If you like a post, +rep it. If you don't like a post, -rep it. It's a way to encourage good posting and discourage bad posts. I wouldn't worry too much about "overusing" it. You can only give reputation once per post.
I know the reputation system from another forum, where it has very interesting effects. But the system is different there. I'd like to test how this one works - if people don't like it, we'll just disable it again.
To add:
for reporting obvious flames, still use the REPORT function (if you want, in addition to -1). The pluses and minuses don't do anything moderation-wise.
Oh, yeah - if someone was testing the reputation thing and would like to get rid of some reputation given out, let me know, I can delete stuff it seems :-)

Seems the user can indefintely update reputation given to any post anyways.
Is there a way to make it simpler ? Like a small + and - somewhere obvious on each post ? When you press, say, +, the + disappears and only a - remains if you want to put it back to neutral ? As it is now, clicking on a button then a dialog box in a new window then a ok button will not make it widely used by general population I think.
Moar, is there a way to see what posts gave you what reputation ? I see there is a comment input field, what does it do ?
EDIT- nevermind, found it
