Did i miss something here?
They are gearing up for the planets expansion, but there isn't going to be a way of removing people who have colonies or whatever until 'later' aka 'soon™'.
I can't imagine they could implement a system where each planet could take any number of pilots... and I can't imagine all the planets having the potential reward... so... first come first serve on the 'good' planets?
Is it just me or does that sounds stupid, even for CCP?
I'm wondering if they really are allowing pilots to "colonize" high sec (and even low sec) planets...
The planed way about "removing people who have colonies" is Dust 514 which, according to the FF roadmap should come after Incarna (which should come after the planet expansion).
I do really hope they will allow planet interaction in low-sec. Some players keep complaining low sec is empty (which is not) and not rewarding, this could add something to do in low sec.
yeah, but if the only way to turf players off good planets is a year away...
I was really hoping they would open up all the planets regardless of sec level... just have the high sec empire planets really restricted on what can be done and what can be sourced from them. If it's just going to be another "moon mining pos" type mechanic... that'd be a bit meh.
But I guess we'll have to wait a few months for another dev blog with some actual details...
The way I understood it is that it's a two part process, with "all planets" being available. You have part one, the development of ground-based industry, then part two, the development of space-based stations to take that stuff and then transship into the space economy. Presumably the anchor points of space elevators or air breathing cargo shuttles, etc. so we get to shoot hr space based stuff now, and put our space stuff there.
Or something.
yeah really until it is officially released we can't really say how its going to work as their description leaves many details out.
