Greetings,
I would like to present you with my application to join the ranks of Electus Matari. I thought it appropriate to post my application here, to avoid needlessly wasting anyone's time should I not prove to be a pilot suitable for your alliance. If you remain interested in seeing me among you, we can always talk about the specifics directly. I prefer not leaving my pod unless necessary so remote communication would be preffered, though I would agree to meeting in person if you deem it necessary.
My name is Sebastian Dawngreeter. I consider myself to be human first and Matari second. My parents both hail from a Sebiestor lineage though I see little point in pod pilots maintaining tribal designations, separated as they are from any semblance of what most would consider a normal life. And even that aside, most of my dealings are with the Brutor. Within the Republic, they seem to still be hurt the most by what the filthy Empire did to the tribes so what else can a man do but stand with those who fight the good fight?
Let me clarify my position. I do not believe a Matari man to be inherently better or worse than any other man. Our actions and our choices define us, not our birth. Our loyalties should always be to other men, never to political structures. But we must always choose our battles and my battle is for the people of the Republic. I believe in not backing down and taking our fight with the slaver scum as far as it needs to go, but I feel it is important to keep in mind that in war it is regular people who suffer and die while we get to be reborn.
This is why I believe military efforts to be secondary. Progress is what we need more than dead Amarrians and justice comes before revenge. I see Electus Matari as a place that embodies this ideal.
My skills as a pod pilot are not great. I can hold my own in a battle cruiser or smaller vessels and I have recently started developing my mining abilities. I would be glad to take a job doing anything the alliance would need done, though I very much hope to enable myself to take part in archeological expeditions sometime soon.
To conclude, while I think Electus Matari as a whole would be a good home to me, I specifically hope to be accepted as a member of Re-Awakened Technologies. I do not seem to completely fulfill your status requirements, but I vouch for my willingness to work towards those goals and well beyond them.

((OOC: My standings with Minmatar Republic is 2.49 and with Brutor Tribe 7.14. On these forums the requirements for RE-AW are having a standing of 5 and 8 in those, while on your website it says that the requirements are to work towards those numbers, which I'm doing. You folks seem to be exactly the kind of group I would want to play in so I hope I get accepted either way.
My character has a number of months under his belt, though I've spent them all playing the game pretty much solo, just running missions. I took some time away from the game and returning back to it, I decided I really should find a corp this time around. My knowledge of the game isn't really that impressive and, other than being shot down in low sec a couple of times, I did no PvP so far. But that's exactly what I hope will change by joining this corp. I am also an avid roleplayer with more RPG books on my selves than I would care to count, so insisting on immersion is exactly what drew me to you guys.))
