Re-Awakened Technologies Inc

Re-Awakened Technologies Inc is the premier technology corp of Electus Matari, providing the alliance with a strong industrial basis on one hand, and slapping our enemies around with the other. As a corp, we're very team-spirited; even from our humble outset, we accomplished the impossible by attacking it as a team, and a true member of Re-Aw will do anything for his corpmates. As pilots, we specialise in doing "odd" things, from complex running and exploration, to combat recon, logistics and e-war.

RE-AW is a corp for the Minmatar Republic's heroes. Its members are held in high regard by the Republic and many of its corporations. This is a state of affairs we strive hard to maintain, as it means we are trusted with sensitive work and information.

At the forefront of the fight against slavery, RE-AW actively pursues EM's wars against PIE Inc and other Amarr loyalist organizations, and works alongside other pro-Matari groups against piracy in Republic Space.

Re-Aw is a corp with a strong vision of the future, and we work towards it step by step.

CEO :

Erm, well, that's me. Evanda Char. Apparently I have quite the sense of humour, though it gets me into trouble a lot - allegedly my sale value in Amarr would be about 37,000 times the value of the average slave... if only they could catch me.

I'm often busy on corp or alliance operations, but if you need to get hold of me, I do always check back eventually. Alternatively, you can contact one of my directors - details are given below.

RE-AW are currently looking for new employees under the following prerequisites :

* You should have held a pilot's licence for over two weeks.
* You should be a Minmatar or Gallente - though we do make exceptions for pilots of other races truly committed to the Minmatar cause.
* Standings must be positive with 8+ with the Brutor Tribe and 5+ with the Republic, and you need to be willing to work your heiney off to get more.
* You should be willing to fight alongside your corp and alliancemates for the Matari cause.
* All corp members contribute in some way to the corporate business, whether it's through our salvage or mineral purchasing programmes, doing the odd shipping run, scouting or guarding for other members or dumping unwanted loot in the corp hangers. Some of these jobs carry salaries, others don't as yet while we work out what they're worth and what we can afford. But all help funds the free ships programme and BPO acquisition.
* Tech 2 mods are sometimes available from the corp hangers, as the corp puts in 10% of anything it can build.
* And you'll have a positive, pro-active approach.
* ((And you'll be an RPer, naturally))
The FAQ

What do Re-Awakened Technologies Inc actually do?

Heh - that's the hardest questions to answer, because it encompasses quite so much stuff.

RE-AW exists to support the Republic in whatever way it requires. However, to enable us to do this, we have become a corp specialised in the "somewhat unusual."

Exploration of the COSMOS preserve in Ani is our speciality, recovering artefacts and ancient technologies, and seeking out and procuring weird and interesting technology from other factions, but we also fight slavers and pirates, and have a strong industrial side to support that, and the Electus Matari alliance as a whole.

What do I need to join Re-Aw?

You need to have held your pilot's licence for 21 days minimum. That's an absolute.

You also need to decent standings with the Minmatar Republic and, at present Brutor Tribe, though in future this will open out to any one Republican corp. What's a decent standing, I hear you ask? Well, what we really want is for every member of the corp to have 8+ with Brutor Tribe, and 5+ with the Republic. Of course, very few people could actually meet that, so we're willing to flex to be flexible, but we do expect pilots to get their standings up to par within the first few months of membership.

Why do we have these requirements? Well, we try to keep corp-wide jumpclone status open with the Brutor Tribe so if we recruit someone who doesn't have jump clone status, they can still use them. And the Republic standings let us run high sec POS and confirm that you are, indeed, supporting the Republic.

The more important question, though, is who do you need to be to join Re-Aw...

OK, who do I need to be to join Re-Aw?

You need to be lively, active, creative, committed, willing to take risks, willing to fight and possibly lose.

If a corp can be thought of to have a personality, we're sassy ;D. We raid complexes and steal... ahem... liberate technology from pirates. We don't raid slaver corps, we redress wrongs to the Republic, and we do it with a smile, a wink and a blown kiss on the wind.

You also need to be a bit of a communist when it comes to your time and loot, because of the way the corp works.

How does the corp work?

Glad you asked this one. It's important for people to know.

The corp charges a 10% tax rate that is automatically deducted from mission rewards and bounties over 50k. Corpies also donate all kinds of stuff to the corp - unwanted mission loot, minerals from mining, salvage, research time, hauling time etc.

In return for this, you get stuff back. Donated loot is free for people to take from hangers for them to use. Nicking excessive stuff to sell for isk balance is frowned upon as "taking the piss". But if you need to fit a ship, that's fine.

The corp also provides free of charge any ship it can build, so long as you don't mind waiting a bit, or mining a bit, if mineral stocks are low. This means that if you lose a tech 1 ship in combat, you get your insurance to replace the mods with and the ship is free. The only condition to this is that you turn up at alliance mining ops more often than not. These are generally once a week. We can build most Matari and Gallente ships at present, still missing a few of the bigger ones.

"Ship it can build" covers anything we have BPOs for, barring capitals. Any free capitals you get remain owned the alliance and folks will be extremely cranky if you leave and take them with you.

Salvage is covered by the Salvage Rewards Programme - your salvage is stockpiled over the course of a month, and at the end of the month, you get a paycheck based on volume. No, it's not as good as selling it on the market at first glance, but it helps the corp grow and provide more free stuff. Plus, we use it to build rigs for members. An average SRP contribution of 20m3 of salvage is worth 20 mil, plus a possible prize, plus up to four rigs averaging around 80 mil in value. Surplus salvage is used to build rigs for sale for the corp, and the money used to buy more BPOs and stuff.

We also provide things like exploration probes, subsidised skillbooks, ammo etc.

What are the rules?

There's just a few rules, of the corp and of the alliance in general:

1) We're an RP corp. Corp channel is entirely IC, alliance channel is entirely IC. There are OOC channels for both the corp (RTI-OOC) and the alliance, to which you'll be invited when you join. Note that IC doesn't necessarily mean lots of fancy speech or description - it depends what your style is. Just talk as your character talks. Your neocom is your neocom - you can talk about clicking things, you can talk about DPS. The rest is just all down to portraying your character's personality.

Please note that if you're not interested in RP, then you are looking at the wrong corp. You simply won't enjoy it here.

2) Smacktalk in combat: When fighting non-RP enemies, i.e. the average pirate, we maintain a strict policy of silence in local. No name calling, no witty banter, not even a "gf". Not a word. Engage, kill, leave. With RP enemies such as PIE or VV, it's acceptable, in fact encouraged, to banter in local, but all sass to the enemy has to be a) Classy ("LOL u suck" is an example of "not classy" - classy is funny, intelligent and generally heroic banter) b) Not OOCly offensive even if directed at the character, not the player - weight, sexuality - the common schoolyard insults - are things to avoid unless you are absolutely confident your opponent doesn't mind and c) Reasonable - "Undock into our blob, you coward" is not reasonable.

3) Be professional. Losses can hurt but whining and ranting about them afterwards hurts a lot more. We have an image to maintain both to the public at large, our allies and friends, and within the alliance and corporation.

4) NRDS - we do not pirate, we don't attack neutrals unless they are confirmed in acts of piracy, ore theft or other crimes against the Republic (i.e. on Aurora events of that nature). If you're ever unsure who to kill, ask.

5) Behave honourably - we live and die on our reputation. Honour your dealings - if you ask for a 1v1, fight it 1v1 and let the winner leave system unmolested. No alt spies, no logoffskis, no loginskis, no exploits, no using out of game crap and psy ops to ruin another player's enjoyment of the game.
