Very good read.
Important clarifications for me:
- The only things related to war dec evasion that are considered exploits are leaving a corp while in space to "surprise" attackers and declaring cheap wars on a corp and then join an alliance to drive up the war dec sot on the alliance
- G15 macros are not automatically "ok"
- Alt recycling is not ok
- Can baiting in rookies systems (esp. Ammold, Ryddinjorn, Hulm, Hadaugago, Malukker, Embod) is not ok
- Using the IGB to browse the market for cache file scraping is ok, but might change soon

Yeah. I think CCP desided they'd gain back some lost street cred with that decision. Though down the line it could bite them if it stays client-side. In some cases, that will be a blessing...
But if they can get file-sharing server-side or allow us to play distributed video on TVs in another persons' CQ, it would be cool.
For example, "Let's meet at Arkadys' and review the battle vid.". Well, maybe not

Yeah, that sounds the like the best explanation. That it's a cool feature, that they couldn't find a way it can be abused, that it doesn't break the client, and all that probably had nothing to do with that. If the rabble brigade had not been whining like it's going out of fashion for months straight, they totally wouldn't have taken that decision.

Agreed. I'm hoping, however, that at some point CCP takes back control of the asylum from the inmates, all the screaming and moaning be damned.
